If you’ve already taken this route and haven’t found a dress that suits your body type or preferences there are other avenues you can pursue. One is to visit one of the online auction sites. Many women sell their used wedding dresses on these websites. They generally will post an image of the dress along with all the details, including the size. This can be a great way to find a gown but you do need to be prudent about asking pointed questions. Finding out the condition of the dress takes some digging as an image doesn’t always reveal everything. You’d hate to order one of the used wedding dresses off these sites only to find that it was soiled and not wearable.

For women who are really feeling a financial pinch as their wedding day approaches there is yet another alternative for them. Renting used wedding dresses is also completely acceptable and by far the most economical way to wear a designer gown. There are many boutiques that rent out all types of formal dresses including bridesmaid, prom and wedding dresses. You pay a small damage deposit along with the rental fee. If you bring the dress back in the same condition your damage deposit will even be returned. This is a fantastic resource for anyone who wants a special dress but can’t afford it.
