Ride On Toys

Though my daughter would love for me to get her another ride on toy for a gift, I probably will not end up doing it. She has had a few in the past and they have never gotten much use. She loves the idea of them, but she usually gets frustrated rather quickly because they don’t go fast enough for her. It’s enough to make me worry about how she’s going to be when she is old enough to drive a car. She may end up being a speed freak and that worries me very much.

Most ride on toys are made for kids under four mostly, and she might be past the age where she enjoys it. She is very much into learning to ride her bike anyway, and perhaps she is just asking for the ride on toys because she sees them on television. She wants to get the Thomas the Train ride on, but there is no way I am spending two hundred dollars on something that she will not enjoy for more than five minutes. Maybe I’ll let her try it out in the store and she will see that she won’t have much fun with it. If she were younger she might get more joy out of it.

Most ride on toys are pricey, but you don’t want your child riding on something that will hurt them. I have learned that there are a lot of things that you may be able to buy cheaply, however, this does not apply to most of the things that I want to buy for my child. Cheap ride on toys are something that can easily break and hurt any child. One that my mom got her was very inexpensive and it broke while she was riding it long ago. I am glad I was right next to her to catch her.

If you want to get used ride on toys, double and triple check them for durability and for any defects. You can find used toys in a lot of places, but that doesn’t mean they have been checked over very well. You can never be careful enough when it comes to your children. Ride on toys are fun, but they aren’t going to be much fun when you baby gets hurt. If you don’t want to spend a lot on one, just skip it and buy something else.
