If you live in the northern parts of the Unites States, Canada, or any other country with the same seasonal changes, you are well aware of what cold can feel like. You know there is cold weather that you may be used to enduring, but you also know there are those days when you can’t get warm no matter what you do. There are also special things people do in the cold that leaves them exposed to the cold air for long periods of time. I used to love to go hunting with my family, and when we were out on cold days, my dad always supplied me with hand warmers to keep my fingers warm.
The hand warmers we got were always welcome, and always worked very well. My dad got them at the local hunting store, and he would get enough for everyone when he made a trip there. They were never that expensive, and the hand warmers were always just the right size to fit in gloves or mittens. They would last up to four hours, and at times, they could warm other parts of your body as well.
These hand warmers are something I used long ago, so I don’t know if they are the same as they used to be. I think I have seen some in stores lately, and I think they are the same as they used to be. The ones I used were small pouches. These pouches would either activate when oxygen hit them, or you would have to move the material within the pouch around to get the heat to start working. Once you put the hand warmers in your gloves and went outside, you were good to go for quite a while.
You may not be a hunter or a skier, but these hand warmers are a great idea for anyone to have. They might be something you would want to keep in your car in case of emergency, and even something to keep in your purse. If something were to happen that left you stranded somewhere, you could use the hand warmers to keep your hands warm, and you can use them near your neck (with caution) if you need to. They might also slip into your shoes or boots if you are losing feeling in your toes. Having them as a part of your emergency car or home kit might be one of the best things you ever did if you get stranded or the heat goes out in the dead of winter.
